Won't return Friday Wilcox was ruled out for the remainder of Friday's preseason matchup against Arizona after suffering a left ankle injury.

Impact Wilcox figured to see heavy usage before having his left ankle rolled up on in Friday's game as fellow backup Drew Sample was already sidelined due to a knee injury. With the second-year tight end now out as well, Thaddeus Moss and Scotty Washington should see increased snaps against the Cardinals.

Re-signs with Cincinnati Wilcox signed a one-year deal with the Bengals on Friday, Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic reports.

Impact Wilcox appeared in 15 games for the Bengals last year, but the majority of his snaps came on special teams. Across 81 offensive snaps, the 25-year-old tight end caught three of five targets for 16 yards. He figures to garner a similar role in 2022, as Cincinnati's tight-end room remains essentially the same after swapping C.J. Uzomah -- who signed with the Jets this offseason -- for Hayden Hurst.
