Held to two catches by Bills Bourne caught two of four targets for 33 yards in Sunday's 33-21 loss to Buffalo.
Impact Damien Harris scored all three of New England's touchdowns on the ground as the passing game struggled mightily. Case in point, Bourne finished second on the team in receiving yards and tied for second in catches, trailing only Jakobi Meyers, who had six catches for 59 yards. Since his two-touchdown outburst in Week 12 against the Titans, Bourne has mustered just five catches for 77 yards in three subsequent appearances. Perhaps a Week 17 visit from the Jaguars will help Bourne get back on track.

Six catches in Week 16 loss Meyers caught six of eight targets for 59 yards in Sunday's 33-21 loss to Buffalo.
Impact Meyers led the Patriots in targets, catches and receiving yards as Mac Jones mustered just 145 passing yards. Jones went the entire month of December without throwing a touchdown to a wide receiver, but Meyers continues to play a prominent role in the Patriots' passing game despite having just one touchdown catch in his three seasons with the team. A Week 17 visit from the lowly Jaguars offers a nice opportunity for Meyers to make another rare visit to the end zone.

Struggles continue in loss to Bills Jones completed 14 of 32 passes for 145 yards and two interceptions in Sunday's 33-21 loss to the Bills. He added 33 yards on six rushing attempts.
Impact Jones eclipsed the 19 passing yards he mustered against the Bills earlier this month, but the rookie wasn't much better in this one. He finished the first half just 5-for-13 with 47 yards and an interception, as the Patriots trailed 17-7 heading into the locker room. Damien Harris kept the team in it with three rushing touchdowns, but Jones continued to struggle through the air in the second half, fittingly snuffing out New England's slim comeback hopes with another interception on his final pass of the game. Jones has been a competent game manager most weeks while working in an ideal situation for a rookie quarterback, but he has struggled when called upon to play catch-up rather than nurse a lead. Luckily for Jones, the Patriots are unlikely to fall behind in Week 17 against the 2-13 Jaguars.

Three TDs not enough in Week 16 Harris (hamstring) rushed 18 times for 103 yards and three touchdowns in Sunday's 33-21 loss to Buffalo. He wasn't targeted in the passing game.
Impact Harris rumbled for a 16-yard touchdown to get New England on the board early in the second quarter. He scored his second touchdown of the day from one yard out in the third quarter, then added his third of the afternoon and 12th of the season from eight yards out in the fourth. The ball came out at the end of Harris' third touchdown and was recovered by the Bills, but Harris was able to cross the goal line before losing possession. This performance answered any questions about the health of Harris' hamstring, but unfortunately for the Patriots, he got no help from the team's passing game or defense. Harris will have a golden opportunity to add to his robust touchdown total in Week 17 against the 2-13 Jaguars.
