Jordan Howden - Racks up 11 stops in start Howden recorded 11 tackles (three solo) in Sunday's Week 6 loss to the Buccaneers.
Impact Howden moved into a starting role with Will Harris (hamstring) placed on IR on Saturday. Howden played every snap against Tampa Bay and finished with a career-high tackle total. The 24-year-old will likely continue to see extended opportunity, at least in the short term, with Harris out at least three more weeks.

Paulson Adebo - Productive in Week 6 Adebo tallied 10 tackles (eight solo) and intercepted a pass Sunday in a loss to Tampa Bay.
Impact New Orleans' defense gave up 325 passing yards and four passing touchdowns against Baker Mayfield, but it also picked off three of Mayfield's passes. Adebo nabbed one of those, intercepting a pass intended for Mike Evans and returning it 20 yards in the second quarter. Adebo has had a keen eye for the ball this season with three pickoffs through six weeks, and Sunday also marked his third double-digit tackle performance of the campaign.

Cedrick Wilson Jr. - Still nursing ankle injury Wilson (ankle) was listed as a limited participant on Monday's practice estimation.
Impact Wilson played through his ankle issue in the Saints' Week 6 loss to the Buccaneers, catching two of his three targets for 28 yards across 35 offensive snaps. The 28-year-old wideout is expected to continue playing through injury in New Orleans' Week 7 matchup against the Broncos unless he downgrades to a DNP either Tuesday or Wednesday.

Rashid Shaheed - Getting knee checked out Shaheed, who was listed as a non-participanton Monday's practice estimate, is getting his knee checked out to determine the severity of the injury he sustained in the fourth quarte...
Impact Per Underhill, there's some concern Shaheed could miss time, but more will be known in that regard after the wideout's knee gets evaluated further. With Chris Olave dealing with a concussion, the status of the Saints' top WRs is a concern for the team ahead of Thursday night's game against the Broncos. If neither are able to face Denver, added opportunities would be available for Mason Tipton, Cedrick Wilson and Bub Means.

Kendre Miller - Clear of injury report Miller (hamstring) wasn't listed on the Saints' estimate injury report Monday.
Impact Despite the Saints activating Miller from injured reserve Saturday, he was held out of Sunday's loss to the Buccaneers while Alvin Kamara assumed his normal workhorse role and Jamaal Williams and Jordan Mims mixed in behind him. Coach Dennis Allen told John Hendrix of SI.com earlier Monday that he expects Miller "being ready to go this week," and the second-year pro's lack of listing on the team's first Week 7 injury report implies as much. Kamara was listed as limited due to a hand issue Monday, but assuming he's able to suit up as usual Thursday versus the Broncos, Miller may not have much of a role out of the Saints backfield behind Kamara and Williams, assuming all three are active.

Taysom Hill - Limited on estimated report Hill (rib) was listed as limited on Monday's practice estimate.
Impact Hill didn't practice during preparation for Weeks 5 and 6 and missed both contests as a result of multiple rib fractures, so his projected activity level to begin this week at least is a positive sign for a banged-up Saints offense that includes injured QB Derek Carr (oblique), RB Alvin Kamara (hand) and WRs Chris Olave (concussion) and Rashid Shaheed (knee). How Hill is listed on practice reports Tuesday and Wednesday should be telling for his odds to return to action Thursday against the Broncos.

Chris Olave - Non-participant on estimated report Olave (concussion) was listed as a non-participant on Monday's estimated practice report.
Impact Olave made an early exit from Sunday's 51-27 loss to the Buccaneers and eventually was diagnosed with a concussion, so his projected lack of activity one day later isn't a shock. With a Thursday night matchup with the Broncos on tap, he's unlikely to gain clearance from the protocol for head injuries in order to suit up for that contest, something that should be confirmed in advance. Fellow WR Rashid Shaheed (knee) also was a non-participant on Monday's report, meaning the Saints' receiving corps is especially banged-up at the moment.

Expect Gay to serve as New Orleans' top strongside linebacker in Thursday night's contest against the Broncos.

Impact Carr's projected lack of activity to begin Week 7 prep comes as no surprise considering he's expected to miss multiple games due to a strained oblique that he picked up Week 5. Rookie Spencer Rattler filled in for Carr under center during Sunday's 51-27 loss to the Buccaneers, completing 22 of 40 passes for 243 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions while taking four carries for 27 yards. Carr's availability for Thursday's contest against the Broncos could receive clarity by the time the Saints post their final injury report of the week Wednesday.

Impact The Saints didn't practice Monday, but Kamara would have been limited had the team practiced. The workhorse running back has gotten at least 17 touches in every game this season, so Kamara's naturally a little banged up, but his status for Thursday's game against the Broncos doesn't appear to be in jeopardy.

Tyrann Mathieu - Expects to play Thursday Coach Dennis Allen said Monday that he expects Mathieu (forearm) to play versus the Broncos, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Impact Mathieu was forced out of Sunday's game versus the Buccaneers early by a wrist injury, but it's apparently not anything severe. If his coach's optimism proved to be misplaced, Jonathan Abram would be next in line at safety.

Kendre Miller - Coach optimistic for Thursday debut Coach Dennis Allen said Monday that he expects Miller (hamstring) to make his season debut Thursday against the Broncos, John Hendrix of SI.com reports.
Impact Miller was activated off injured reserve Saturday but remained inactive for Sunday's loss to the Buccaneers. The 2023 third-round draft pick is expected to make his season debut Thursday, though official word on Miller's status won't come until later in the week. Once cleared to play, Miller will jostle with Jamaal Williams for backup touches behind Alvin Kamara.
