Erik McCoy - Expected to miss 6-to-8 weeks McCoy (groin) suffered an injury during Sunday's loss to the Eagles that is expected to require surgery and sideline him 6-to-8 weeks, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
Impact McCoy's estimated recovery timetable sounds like it will result in him being placed on IR, leaving Lucas Patrick to operate as the Saints' starting center until early November, at least. Until McCoy returns to full health, the Pro Bowler's absence will represent a notable blow to the strength of New Orleans' offensive line.

Juwan Johnson - Zero targets again Week 3 Johnson tallied zero targets during Sunday's 15-12 defeat against Philadelphia.
Impact Johnson was a total non-factor in the passing game for the second week in a row. After catching an impressive toe-tap 16-yard touchdown Week 1, the fifth-year tight end has completely fallen out of receiving rotation. What's worse, he appears to have been supplanted by Foster Moreau for the TE1 role, as the latter logged 40 offensive snaps Sunday compared to 28 for Johnson. The 6-foot-4 Johnson totaled 37 catches (on 59 targets) over 13 regular-season games with starting quarterback Derek Carr. However, it appears the tight end position won't have nearly the same importance in the passing game under new offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak. Johnson will look to work his way back into a more consistent role during this coming Sunday's road game against the division-rival Falcons.

Foster Moreau - Serves as TE1 again Moreau totaled one reception (on two targets) for two yards during Sunday's 15-12 loss versus the Eagles.
Impact Moreau worked his way back in as a receiving option after going without a target during last week's 44-19 win against Dallas. The 27-year-old tight end still didn't see any scoring opportunities, as New Orleans scored touchdowns on just one of three red-zone trips against Philadephia. However, he saw significantly more playing time than Juwan Johnson, tallying 40 offensive snaps compared to Johnson's 28. Through three weeks, Moreau looks like he's valued into the top option at tight end, but he's still logged just five catches on six targets over this span. With new offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak's scheme seeming to favor the running game and wide receiver passing game, it's unlikely that Moreau will fetch much fantasy value even if he maintains a starting job moving forward.

Mason Tipton - Draws three targets versus Philly Tipton gathered in two of three argets for 11 yards during Sunday's 15-12 loss versus the Eagles.
Impact Tipton tied with running back Alvin Kamara for the Saints' third-most targets Sunday. The undrafted wideout out of Yale logged targets on both the first and final offensive series of the game for the Saints. However, he did't see significant more playing time than he did in the first two games of the season, as Tipton still logged fewer offensive snaps (18) than fellow wideouts Chris Olave (45), Rashid Shaheed (42) and Cedrick Wilson (25). Tipton's target share isn't significant enough to warrant much of any attention from fantasy owners, but his role as WR3/WR4 likely indicates that he's one of the next men up if Olave and/or Shaheed are forced to miss time with injury this season.

Jamaal Williams - Nonfcator in Sunday's loss Williams logged one rush for negative one yard and hauled in one of three targets for no gain during Sunday's 15-12 loss to the Eagles.
Impact Williams didn't see increased playing time despite the absence of injured tight end Taysom Hill (chest), who served as the Saints' No. 2 rushing option behind Alvin Kamara in Weeks 1 and 2. Instead, Kamara shouldered virtually the entire workload out of the backfield with 26 carries and three catches (on three targets) versus the Eagles. Williams totaled 19 carries while primarily playing during garbage time in New Orleans' previous two games, so his lack of usage in the Saints' first non-blowout win is a discouraging sign for his role moving forward -- even if Hill continues to miss time with a bruised lung. Williams' next chance to carve out a bigger workload will come against the division-rival Falcons on Sunday, Sept. 29.

Impact Shaheed failed to connect with quarterback Derek Carr after these two linked up on touchdown passes of 59 and 70 yards in the first two games of the season. The 26-year-old's target share didn't take any sort of dip Sunday. Instead, the Saints' offense finally hit its first snag after back-to-back blowout wins to start the season. Carr completed just 14 of 25 passes for 142 yards and one touchdown to one interception. This game-ending interception came when Carr targeted Shaheed on an ill-advised desperation pass deep with just under one minute remaining in the fourth quarter. These two will look to get back on the same page when the Saints travel to Atlanta this coming Sunday, Sept. 29.
