Not an option to start Week 4 Coach Matt Nagy said Friday that Foles will not be starting against the Lions on Sunday, Adam Jahns of The Athletic reports.
Impact Nagy said the starter will be a game-time decision between Andy Dalton (knee) and Justin Fields (hand). Dalton is listed as questionable for the contest with the Lions after he didn't play in Week 2 and was limited in practice all week. Fields drew the start in Dalton's absence and struggled mightily against the Browns, but the rookie doesn't have an injury designation after practicing in full all week. Dalton has been Nagy's de facto starter when healthy, so if he is able to suit up, it's safe to assume he will be the primary signal caller Sunday.
