Designated to return from IR The Panthers designated Elflein (hamstring) to return from injured reserve Wednesday, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports.

Impact Elflein suffered the injury in Week 2 and has been on injured reserve since. The Ohio State product will have a 21-day window to be added to the active roster, but if he isn't, then he will return to injured reserve for the remainder of the season.
