Eyeing healthy sophomore season Taylor (foot) will spend his first healthy offseason competing for a depth role in Green Bay's backfield, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports.

Impact Taylor missed much of his senior season at Memphis in 2019 -- and his entire rookie campaign at the NFL level -- due to a serious foot injury. Though he wasn't activated from the Non-Football Injury list last season, he managed to resume practicing back in December, which bodes well for his recovery. He looks set to compete with Dexter Williams and Mike Weber for a limited amount of reserve roles out of the backfield.

To end season on NFI list Taylor (foot) will remain on the non-football injury list for the remainder of the season, Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Impact Green Bay brought Taylor back to practice in order to study the undrafted rookie's progress from a foot injury. However, ultimately the team did not elect to activate him following a three-week observation period. Per league rules, the 22-year-old will now be unavailable for the rest of the season in either a practice or game situation.

Practices for first time Taylor (foot) returned to practice Thursday, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.

Impact Thursday's session marks Taylor's first practice activity since joining the Packers. He spent his entire rookie season on the non-football injury list due to a foot injury sustained back at Memphis. Green Bay will now have a 21-day window to monitor Taylor at practice without his counting against the active roster.

Impact Taylor spent all of training camp on the active/non-football injury list and will now shuffle to the NFI list for the remainder of the season as he continues to recover from an undisclosed injury.
