Jalen Hurts - Sidelined Week 13, as expected Hurts (ankle) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Jets. Impact After spraining his ankle in Philadelphia's Week 12 loss to the Giants, Hurts practiced in a limited fashion Wednesday through Friday, but reports leading up to Sunday suggested the Eagles would err on the side of caution and hold the second-year signal-caller out this weekend. Hurts' inclusion on the inactive list for the first time this season thus comes as no surprise, paving the way for Gardner Minshew to pick up a start while Reid Sinnett serves as his backup. Though the presence of Minshew behind center could actually provide an upgrade for the Eagles' pass catchers, he won't be able to match Hurts as a runner. The absence of Hurts -- who ranks fifth in the league in rushing scores (eight) and 10th in rushing yards (695) -- may also help lead back Miles Sanders, who projects to see a larger portion of the Eagles' carries, including more touches in goal-to-go situations. The Eagles are on bye Week 14, so Hurts should have a good chance at returning to the lineup for the team's Week 15 contest Dec. 19 against Washington.
