Moves back to practice squad Walker reverted to the Browns' practice quad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.

Impact Walker got the start for injured quarterback Deshaun Watson (shoulder) on Sunday against the 49ers, completing 18 of 34 passes for 192 yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions while adding a rushing yard on three carries. In the course of 12 possessions, he led the Browns to one TD and four successful field goals from kicker Dustin Hopkins in an eventual 19-17 upset win. While he'll move back to the practice squad, Walker seemingly would be the top candidate to start again over rookie Dorian Thompson-Robinson on Sunday at Indianapolis if Watson needs more time to recover.

Impact Walker will presumably compete with Trevor Siemian (oblique) for the backup role behind Justin Fields in Chicago's run-heavy offense. In six appearances (five starts) for the Panthers last season, Walker completed 59.4 percent of his passes for 731 yards, three touchdowns and three interceptions while carrying six times for 39 yards.
