Najee Harris - Not in line to play Saturday Harris indicated Wednesday that he's not in line to play in Saturday's preseason game against the Jaguars, Brian Batko of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Impact The report notes that if Harris -- who has been managing a foot issue in training camp -- does play at all in the preseason, it will be in the Steelers' exhibition finale against the Lions on Aug. 28. In any case, Harris is entrenched as the team's top back, with Benny Snell (knee), Anthony McFarland, Jaylen Warren, Mataeo Durant and Master Teague (ankle) currently in the mix for depth chart slotting behind him in Pittsburgh's backfield.

Arthur Maulet - Sustains hamstring injury Maulet is considered day-to-day after sustaining a hamstring injury at practice Tuesday, Ray Fittipaldo of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Impact Maulet was productive during Saturday's preseason opener against Seattle, racking up five solo tackles, including two tackles for losses. However, it's not yet clear whether he'll be available for Saturday's preseason matchup against Jacksonville following his ankle injury. If Maulet is back to full health in time for the regular season, he's not expected to take on a starting role but should be able to earn increased playing time in 2022 since Joe Haden is no longer with the team.

Devin Bush - Rough start to camp Bush has struggled over the first several weeks of training camp, Mark Kaboly of The Athletic reports.

Impact Bush missed most of the 2020 season due to a knee injury, and he logged 70 tackles (41 solo), two sacks, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery and four pass defenses last year. He saw a slight decrease in snaps late in 2021, and the team didn't pick up the fifth year option on his contract during the offseason. While the 2019 first-rounder has continued to draw praise from most of his coaches, he's had some plays in which he's struggled early in camp. As a result, Bush isn't guaranteed a starting role to begin the regular season. However, even if Robert Spillane wins a starting job, Bush should still have opportunities to carve out playing time as long as his play improves once the regular season begins.
