Montravius Adams - Enters COVID protocols Adams was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Wednesday, Teresa Varley of the Steelers official site reports.

Impact Adams was signed off the Saints' practice squad on Nov. 29 and played a prominent reserve role at nose tackle upon his arrival while Isaiah Buggs was out with an ankle injury. With Buggs expected to return Sunday against the Titans, Adams was headed toward a diminished role whether or not he is cleared to play in time.

Impact Buggs was sidelined for the last two games due to an ankle issue, but he should be back in action against the Titans on Sunday. Across the last four games, he's recorded nine tackles (two solo) and a pass defense.

Impact Watt sustained a groin injury in Thursday's loss to the Vikings, but the issue doesn't appear to be particularly serious. As long as he remains on the practice field in some capacity this week, it seems as though he'll have a shot to play Sunday against the Titans.

Impact Roethlisberger has been playing through the same injuries for much of the season, with his recent routine typically entailing a missed practice to start the week. He should be out there this Sunday against the Titans but might eventually miss a game if the Steelers fall out of playoff contention.

Impact Finney had been playing through a back injury for more than a month, but he apparently suffered a setback during Week 13 and was held out the following contest. The 30-year-old offensive lineman will miss at least three weeks after being placed on injured reserve, and Kendrick Green is expected to fill in at center during his absence.

Impact Hassenauer suffered a torn pectoral against the Chargers in Week 11 and has been on injured reserve since. After returning to practice Wednesday, the 26-year-old offensive lineman will have 21 days to be added to the active roster. If he does return, he will likely slide back into his usual role as a backup interior lineman.
