Ben Roethlisberger - Staying prepared for Week 11 start Roethlisberger (illness) remains on the reserve/COVID-19 list as of Friday, but he's taken part in virtual meetings this week and is staying prepared to start Sunday against the Ch... Impact Roethlisberger tested positive for the virus Nov. 13 and sat out the Steelers' 16-16 tie with the Lions a day later, but because he's vaccinated, he'll be eligible to rejoin the team as soon as he's symptom-free for 48-hour period and submits two negative COVID-19 tests taken 24 hours apart. As Pryor notes, the Steelers can activate Roethlisberger from the reserve/COVID-19 list before Saturday's 4 p.m. ET deadline for Week 11 roster moves even if he hasn't fully cleared all protocols, but he would still need to exit the protocols at some point after that and then arrange separate travel to Los Angeles for the game, as the Steelers' team flight is scheduled to leave Saturday morning. Head coach Mike Tomlin said Roethlisberger is capable of executing the Steelers' game plan even without practicing, so expect him to start if he clears the necessary protocols prior to Sunday's 8:20 p.m. ET kickoff. In the event Roethlisberger is forced to miss another game, Mason Rudolph -- who has taken all the first-team reps in practice this week -- would pick up his 11th career start.
