JuJu Smith-Schuster - Shoulder surgery on tap Smith-Schuster is in line to undergo shoulder surgery and will miss the remainder of the season, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Impact Smith-Schuster was taken to the hospital after he exited Sunday's win over the Broncos with the right shoulder injury. The 2018 second-round pick hauled in 15 of 28 targets for 129 yards while rushing three times for nine yards and a touchdown across his five appearances in 2021, and he's slated to become an unrestricted free agent during the offseason. His absence should lead to more playing time for James Washington (groin) and Ray-Ray McCloud, while Diontae Johnson and Chase Claypool should see additional slot work.

Impact Mondeaux has been on the active roster for each of the last three games, and his snap count has increased each week. He was on the field for 28 percent of the team's defensive snaps Sunday and recorded his first career sack in the third quarter. The 26-year-ol has recorded just two tackles (one solo) and a sack across his first three appearances in 2021.

James Pierre - Records interception in win Pierre totaled six solo tackles, an interception and two pass defenses in Sunday's 27-19 win over the Broncos.
Impact Pierre took on a starting role against Denver with Cameron Sutton (groin) sidelined, and the 25-year-old recorded his first interception while playing 98 percent of the team's defensive snaps. The second-year pro has tallied 22 tackles (20 solo), an interception and four pass defenses across the first five weeks of the season but should see less playing time once Sutton is ready to return.

Chris Boswell - Converts five kicks against Denver Boswell converted both of his field-goal attempts while making all three of his extra-point tries in Sunday's 27-19 win over the Broncos.
Impact Boswell made a 48-yard field goal early in the second quarter before extending the Steelers' lead with a 43-yarder with just over two minutes per game. Since missing a field goal in Week 3, the 30-year-old has made three field-goal attempts while converting five extra-point tries across the last two games.

Impact Ballage saw his first taste of offensive work last week, and he played 10 offensive snaps in Week 5 since Najee Harris dealt with cramping. Assuming Harris is fully healthy for Sunday's Week 6 matchup, Ballage should continue to be an insignificant fantasy contributor.

Impact Snell had rushed for just one yard across the first four weeks of the year, but he was more involved against Denver and played a season-high 13 offensive snaps while Najee Harris dealt with cramping. However, the 2019 fourth-rounder should return to a minimal role if Harris is back to full health for Sunday's Week 6 matchup against Seattle.

JuJu Smith-Schuster - Could miss rest of season The Steelers fear Smith-Schuster (shoulder) will miss the rest of the season, Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
Impact Smith-Schuster was clearly in pain after his exit from Sunday's 27-19 win over the Broncos, and it sounds like he's now in danger of needing season-ending surgery on his injured shoulder. While he's averaging only 25.8 yards per game this year, Smith-Schuster did see either seven or eight targets in three of his first four games this season, and his upcoming absence could lead to more slot work for both Diontae Johnson and Chase Claypool. The 24-year-old Smith-Schuster is on a one-year contract, scheduled for unrestricted free agency in the offseason.

Impact Gentry hadn't been targeted more than once in any of the first four games of the season, but he drew two targets in Week 5 and led the team's tight ends with 13 yards. However, the 25-year-old hasn't been a reliable fantasy contributor with three receptions for 21 yards across the first five weeks of the 2021 campaign.
