Breiden Fehoko - Lands on IRThe Steelers placed Fehoko (arm/shoulder) on injured reserve Saturday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
ImpactFehoko was dealing with arm and shoulder injuries that forced him to leave Wednesday's practice. Now that he's been placed on IR, the 27-year-old will be forced to miss the entire 2024 season unless he reaches an injury settlement with Pittsburgh. His last NFL action was in 2022 with the Chargers, when he recorded 23 tackles (10 solo) in nine regular-season games.

Troy Fautanu - Suffers MCL sprainFautanu (knee) suffered an MCL sprain in Friday's 20-12 preseason loss to the Texans, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
ImpactFautanu was selected 20th overall be the Steelers in this year's NFL Draft. Thus, he projects to have an impect on the team's offensive line when healthy. It remains to be seen how long he will be sidelined with his current MCL sprain.

Kilian Zierer - Logs 33 snapsZierer (ankle) was on the field for 33 snaps in Friday's 20-12 preseason victory over the Steelers, per the NFL's official transaction log.
ImpactZierer spent the entire 2023 campaign on Houston's injured reserve. It appears he has fully moved on from the injury. He is competing for a depth role on the team's offensive line this season.

Dalton Keene - Plays 29 snaps FridayKeene (undisclosed) was on the field for 29 snaps in Friday's 20-12 preseason victory over the Steelers, per the NFL's official transaction log.
ImpactKeene is cometing with the likes of Cade Stover and Teagan Quitoriano (calf) for a delph role at tight end. He played just one game in Houston last season, but the team opted to give him another look with a reserve/future contract.

Cade Stover - Shines in preseason winStover caught three of four targets for 32 yards in Friday's 20-12 preseason win over Pittsburgh.
ImpactStover was used early on and was a safety valve on one of C.J. Stroud's two completions. The tight end also bailed out Davis Mills later in the first half. Stover has caught five of seven targets for 58 yards through two preseason games. The Texans have injuries at tight end, as both Brevin Jordan (undisclosed) and Teagan Quitoriano (calf) did not suit up for the contest. That puts Stover, a 2024 fourth-round draft pick, in prime position to influence roster decisions.
AUGUST 10•ROTOWIRE
John Metchie III - One drop, one catch FridayMetchie caught one of two targets for four yards in Friday's 20-12 preseason win over the Steelers.
ImpactMetchie dropped the first pass thrown to him and didn't appear to respond in the way head coach DeMeco Ryans wanted to see following a quiet preseason opener last week in the Hall of Fame Game. The good news for Metchie is that neither of his main competitors -- Xavier Hutchinson nor Ben Skowronek -- shined as a receiver Friday night.

Xavier Hutchinson - Gets first-half workHutchinson caught one of three targets for four yards, rushed once for 19 yards and returned a kickoff for 27 yards in Friday's 20-12 preseason win over Pittsburgh.
ImpactHutchinson didn't have the impact as a receiver that he did in the Hall of Fame Game last week, but he was given snaps in the first half, putting him in the mix for one of the final spots on the wideout depth chart. He also ran the ball for the second straight preseason contest, which suggests the Texans view him as a potential weapon.
