ImpactJacob Eason will be the Week 1 starter if Carson Wentz (foot) isn't deemed ready. Ehlinger, a rookie sixth-round pick, gave Eason a real challenge this summer, so the backup QB spot could be fluid once if/when everyone is healthy. Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports that Ehlinger is dealing with an ACL sprain, putting the timeline around four weeks rather than five-to-six.

Eric Fisher - Tests positive for COVID-19Fisher (Achilles) was placed in COVID protocols on Thursday and has since tested positive for the virus, Joel A. Erickson of The Indianapolis Star reports.

ImpactFisher spent all of training camp on the PUP list as he rehabs from an Achilles tear he sustained in January. He will be ineligible to continue to rehab at team facilities until he clears the league's protocols, which may be awhile since he actually contracted the virus. With Sam Tevi leaving Friday's preseason game on a cart, Will Holden is currently the only left tackle active on the Colts' depth chart.
