Jordan Whittington - Leads team in receiving yardageWhittington secured five of eight targets for 52 yards during Saturday's 13-9 victory against the Chargers.
ImpactDespite playing in just 36 of the Rams' 63 snaps on offense, Whittington led the team in receiving yards and was tied with Xavier Smith (who played 59 snaps) for targets and receptions. The rookie out of Texas has been solid through two preseason games with an 11-126-0 line over 82 snaps on offense. Head coach Sean McVay generally keeps his starters on the bench through the preseason, but Whittington may simply be on the field to get some valuable reps in before his rookie campaign begins. While Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp will start the year as the top two wideouts for the Rams, who will be their No. 3 wideout is less defined. Demarcus Robinson and Tutu Atwell have been vying for the role, but Whittington could easily make a case for the position if his preseason performances continue to impress.

ImpactGinda spent the past three seasons in the USFL with the Michigan Panthers, where he won the 2023 Defensive Player of the Year. The 27-year-old linebacker out of San Jose State has yet to take a snap in the NFL after going undrafted in 2018.

Matthew Stafford - May not practice MondayRams coach Sean McVay said Sunday that he's unsure if Stafford (hamstring) will practice Monday, Stu Jackson of the team's official site reports.
ImpactStafford has been sidelined since leaving Wednedsay's practice early with what was described as hamstring tightness. McVay stated Thursday that he expected the starting quarterback to return to practice this week, but it appears the team may take a more precautious route and will likely need to re-evaluate his status Monday morning. The Rams' coach downplayed the severity of the issue Sunday, stating that he's "not concerned" and that the 36-year-old will ready for the season opener at Detroit on Sunday, Sept. 8, per Jackson. In the meantime, backups Stetson Bennett and Dresser Winn should continue to serve as the Rams' quarterbacks for the preseason finale versus Houston on Saturday.
