Impact Nacua has been tending to a bursa sac issue in his knee since Aug. 4, when he initially suffered the injury. Last Thursday, coach Sean McVay told Stu Jackson of the Rams' official site that Nacua logged every practice rep, and the team officially cleared him Wednesday with his listing on its first injury report of the season. With his health not in question for Sunday night's visit to Detroit, Nacua will seek to replicate the 105-1,486-6 line on 15 targets in 17 regular-season games that he racked up as a fifth-round rookie last year in the coming campaign.

Impact Nacua left a joint practice with the Chargers on Aug. 4 due to a knee injury that McVay later called a bursa sac issue. McVay also relayed at the time an expectation that Nacua would be available Week 1, and the wide receiver displayed his first bit of visible progress in his recovery by practicing Monday. The Rams won't be posting their first injury report of the upcoming season until next Wednesday, but considering McVay's comments this week, Nacua appears destined to be listed as a full participant or even avoid being showing up on it at all. Nacua is coming of a spectacular rookie campaign in 2023 in which he posted a 105-1,486-6 line on 160 targets in 17 regular-season games.

Should be fine for Week 1 Coach Sean McVay said Tuesday that there's "no threat" of Nacua (knee) missing Week 1 at Detroit, ESPN's Sarah Barshop reports.
Impact McVay said Nacua, "really just had a little bit of a bursa sac, kind of burst it," adding that there's, "nothing serious, nothing structurally [wrong]." Nacua made an early exit from Sunday's joint practice with the Chargers -- exactly five weeks before the Rams' season opener -- and was deemed week-to-week shortly thereafter. The 24-year-old figures to miss practice for the next week or three but apparently is expected back in time for Week 1 prep.
