Activated from PUP Williams (foot) was activated from the PUP list for Monday's practice, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports. Impact Williams returns to practice as a limited participant, with nearly four weeks to ramp up and prepare for the regular-season opener against Carolina on Sept. 12. He's arguably the most important player for the New York defense, recording 55 tackles and seven sacks in 13 games last season as a 22/23-year-old. Williams then broke his foot in the spring and had surgery in early May, missing offseason practices and the first three weeks of training camp. He's unlikely to play this preseason but should have time to get ready for Week 1.
