Could hit IR with calf strain Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy said Gregory strained his calf during Wednesday's practice and will likely need multiple weeks of recovery time, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morn... Impact Dallas now looks like it will be without its top two defensive ends for the foreseeable future, as McCarthy hinted that Gregory could be a candidate to join DeMarcus Lawrence (foot) on short-term injured reserve. A stint on IR would rule Gregory out for at least three games, but if the Cowboys elect not to deactivate him, a two-week absence could be a more likely outcome.
