Stromberg could find his way on to Chicago's active roster in the near future, especially after the Bears released Nate Davis (back) on Tuesday.

Eyeing mid-season return Stromberg is undergoing a right knee scope that will sideline him for approximately seven-to-eight weeks, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.

Impact Stromberg agreed to an injury settlement with the Commanders on Monday, which allows him to sign with any team during the season once he's recovered from his knee scope. The 23-year-old center appeared in just four games and played 28 total snaps with Washington during his rookie campaign, but a team could definitely add the 2023 third-round pick to their practice squad or active roster once he's healthy again.
