Impact Daly operates as the team's long-snapper, so his absence could negatively impact the Bears' punt and field-goal units. Cole Kmet will now handle those duties as the team's emergency long snapper, according to Fishbain.

Heads to IR The Lions placed Daly on injured reserve Tuesday after he suffered a knee injury in Monday's win over the Raiders, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Impact Though the extent of Daly's injury isn't known, head coach Dan Campbell said that the long snapper will require surgery, according to Justin Rogers of The Detroit News. Look for Detroit to add a new long snapper to its 53-man roster in the coming days.
