Impact Shepard will close out the regular season in a favorable matchup, after posting season highs for targets (12), catches (nine) and yards (77) in last week's loss to Baltimore. He missed the first Cowboys-Giants matchup back in Week 5, which was Darius Slayton's best game (eight catches for 129 yards) of the season. Shepard should spend a lot of time in the slot Sunday, as Golden Tate (calf) is doubtful to play.

When on the field over 10 appearances this season, Shepard has attracted a workload of 7.2 targets per game. His 77 yards from Sunday represent a new season high, while the TD was Shepard's first in eight games. In Week 17, Shepard will have a chance to face off against the Cowboys for the first time this season, as he was on IR with a toe injury when the division rivals last met Oct. 11.

Impact Shepard came up four receiving yards shy of Golden Tate's team-leading total, as quarterback Daniel Jones' return from a hamstring injury didn't do much to spark New York's struggling passing attack. After getting into a rhythm with five consecutive games of six-plus catches, Shepard has caught only four passes over his last two combined. He'll hope to get back on track against the Browns in Week 15.

Impact Among Giants pass-catchers, Shepard was out-targeted by only Evan Engram, though he failed to turn that into any substantial production with Colt McCoy under center. His most meaningful contribution came on a successful two-point conversion, when he beat Shaquill Griffin to a pass in the corner of the end zone. While McCoy did not hesitate to look Shepard's way, Shepard may struggle to post numbers so long as Daniel Jones (hamstring) remains sidelined.
