Kaepernick hit with $10K fine for wearing Beats by Dre headphones

Colin Kaepernick did a commercial for Beats by Dre -- headphone maker extraordinaire -- in which he was shown blocking out the sound of what looks like screaming Seahawks fans.

Well, the San Francisco 49ers quarterback has been hit with a penalty for wearing those same headphones around his neck postgame Sunday.

Apparently donning the pink version for October breast cancer awareness month, Kaepernick knew he could be subject to a fine after a 22-17 win Sunday at Levi's Stadium.

But why?

Simple. The NFL made a deal with Bose, naming the company the official headphones of the league. And as a result, the league passed a mandate that NFL players can be wearing only Bose headphones when there's a potential of being seen by cameras or fans.

Kaepernick declined to say whether Beats would pick up the cost of his fine, saying, "we'll let that be unanswered."

At least we'll always have that commercial:
