Elevated for Week 3 The Buccaneers elevated Shepard from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday, Scott Smith of the team's official site reports. Impact After spending the first eight years of his NFL career with the Giants, Shepard signed with the Buccaneers in June. While he wasn't able to make the 53-man roster at the end of training camp, the 2016 second-round pick opted to stick around in Tampa Bay on the practice squad. With Kameron Johnson (ankle) being listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Broncos, Shepard's elevation to the active roster will provide depth in the Bucs' wide receiver corps behind Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, Jalen McMillan and Trey Palmer.
