Impact Dean enjoyed a solid game out of his left cornerback spot, helping limit Commanders receivers to just seven total receptions for 55 yards. The veteran failed to record an interception for the first time in his career last season, but he also posted the second-highest tackle total (61) of his first five seasons.

Lavonte David - Opens season with six stops David totaled six tackles (four solo) during the Buccaneers' 37-20 win over the Commanders in Week 1.

Impact The seemingly ageless veteran started off the new season in signature form, contributing his solid run-stopping presence over a robust 55 snaps. David's savvy and leadership is arguably even more important than in recent seasons, considering the Buccaneers lost some of both with the offseason departures of Devin White and Shaquil Barrett. David should remain a strong IDP fixture again this season after accruing his highest tackle total (134) since the 2015 season a year ago.

SirVocea Dennis - Stands out in Week 1 Dennis recorded seven tackles (five solo), including 1.0 sacks, during the Buccaneers' 37-20 win over the Commanders in Week 1.

Impact Dennis finished as the second-leading tackler behind safety Jordan Whitehead, and he impressively racked up his solid tackle total on just 19 snaps from scrimmage. The second-year pro, a fifth-round pick in 2023, played on only 96 snaps during his rookie campaign, but Dennis projects for a larger role this season following the offseason departures of Devin White and Shaquil Barrett.

Impact McCollum exited Sunday's win over the Buccaneers with a concussion, putting him into the league's five-step concussion protocols. His ability to be on the field Wednesday shows he's making progress in his recovery, but the limited participation suggests he's not fully through the league's protocols and should be considered questionable for Week 2 against the Lions.

Bryce Hall - Placed on injured reserve The Buccaneers placed Hall (ankle) on injured reserve Tuesday, Jenna Laine of ESPN.com reports.

Impact Hall's placement on IR only officially rules him out for the next four games, but the dislocated ankle and fractured fibula in his right leg he suffered Week 1 is expected to keep the depth cornerback out for the remainder of the season. He appeared in nine regular-season games for the Jets last season.

Impact Kieft wasn't even deployed as a blocker as much as he typically was in former coordinator Dave Canales' offense, with all but two of his 18 total snaps Sunday coming on special teams. Even if he does end up seeing an uptick in playing time on offense in coming weeks, Kieft is expected to remain a distant third pass-catching option at tight end behind Cade Otton and Payne Durham.

Payne Durham - Blanked on 17 snaps in win Durham did not draw a target in the Buccaneers' 37-20 win over the Commanders on Sunday.

Impact Durham saw a modest 17 snaps from scrimmage and wasn't afforded any opportunities to touch the ball. However, it was a down game for the Buccaneers' tight ends in general, as Cade Otton saw only two targets in his own right despite playing 52 snaps. Given new offensive coordinator Liam Coen's scheme is expected to frequently deploy tight ends as pass-catching options, Week 1 might ultimately prove to be an outlier. However, Otton is the clear top target at the position, meaning Durham will still be difficult to trust on a game-to-game basis even when he does start getting more involved.
