Mike Edwards - Gets three-game suspension from NFL The NFL announced Thursday that Edwards has been suspended three games for violating jointly developed and administered NFL-NFLPA COVID-19 protocols.

Impact Edwards was suspended following a joint NFL-NFLPA review into recent allegations that he misrepresented his vaccination status. The third-year safety has already accepted the three-game ban and has waived his right to appeal, making him ineligible to play until the Buccaneers' Week 16 game against the Panthers on Dec. 26. Edwards had suited up for each of the Buccaneers' first 11 contests of the season, tallying 35 tackles, seven pass breakups, a forced fumble and three interceptions, two of which he returned for touchdowns.

Antonio Brown - Receives three-game suspension Brown (ankle) has been suspended three games without pay for violating the joint NFL-NFLPA COVID-19 protocols, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Impact Per an NFL release, Brown and two other players "misrepresented their vaccination stats under the NFL-NFLPA COVID-19 Protocols." He'll thus sit out the next three games and won't be eligible to play again until Sunday, Dec. 26 at Carolina. Brown already had missed the Bucs' last five contests due to an ankle injury and was poised to miss more time, so he may be able to complete his recovery while he's away from the team.

Impact Brown is unlikely to practice in any fashion this week after Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians admitted Wednesday that the seven-time Pro Bowler is "doubtful" for Sunday's contest against the Falcons. The game in Atlanta would mark the sixth straight absence over a seven-week stretch for Brown, who was initially projected to be sidelined six weeks due to his ankle sprain. According to Jenna Laine of ESPN.com, Arians acknowledged that Brown is contending with a heel issue in addition to the ankle sprain, which has resulted in a longer recovery timeline than expected. Adam Schefter of ESPN reported Wednesday that the Buccaneers are now expecting Brown to be sidelined for two more weeks, making the team's Week 15 game against the Saints on Dec. 19 the new target date for his return to the lineup.
