Inactives: Texans without Tank Dell, Jimmie Ward, Joe Mixon vs. Jaguars The Houston Texans released their inactives for their Week 4 matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars, and they'll be without a few starters.

Won't play Sunday Dell (chest) has been ruled out for Sunday's contest against the Jaguars.

Impact Dell emerged from last Sunday's loss at Minnesota with soreness, which was clarified to be a chest issue on the Texans' first injury report of Week 4 prep. He proceeded to sit out practice Wednesday through Friday and thus won't be available this weekend. With Dell in street clothes, Nico Collins and Stefon Diggs will headline the Texans' receiving corps, while Robert Woods, Xavier Hutchinson, Steven Sims and John Metchie will be candidates to fill in behind the top duo.

Not seen at practice Dell (chest) wasn't spotted at practice Friday, DJ Bien-Aime of ESPN.com reports.

Impact Dell also missed Wednesday and Thursday's sessions, so his apparent absence Friday doesn't bode well for his chances of being available Sunday against the Jaguars. Houston's upcoming injury report will reveal whether Dell heads into the weekend with any chance of facing Jacksonville.

Looks unlikely to play Sunday Dell (chest) didn't practice Thursday and appears unlikely to play Sunday against the Jaguars while he manages bruised ribs, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Impact The Texans haven't officially ruled Dell out from playing Sunday, with head coach DeMeco Ryans noting Wednesday that he considers the wideout "day-to-day" while the team waits to see how he progresses during the practice week. However, with two straight absences to begin Week 4 prep, Dell doesn't seem to be tracking toward playing against Jacksonville while he contends with the injury, which he sustained late in last Sunday's 34-7 loss to the Vikings. Dell also emerged from the contest with a hand injury, but the Texans list him only with a chest issue on the official Week 4 injury report. The Texans will decide after Friday's practice whether Dell carries a designation into the weekend, or if he's ruled out two days in advance of the contest.

Impact Dell missed practice Wednesday after emerging from Sunday's 34-7 loss to the Vikings with rib soreness as well as an injury to his hand/wrist. He'll have two more opportunities to resume practicing before a favorable home matchup against a leaky Jacksonville secondary that allowed four first-half passing touchdowns to the Bills on Monday.

During his rookie campaign, Dell racked up 47 catches (on 75 targets) for 709 yards and seven TDs in 11 regular-season games, and if the 2023 third-rounder is able to stay healthy, he'll remain firmly on the fantasy radar, despite having to share WR targets with both Diggs and Collins.
