Out Week 11 Hudson (personal) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Rams, Greg Auman of The Athletic reports.

Impact Hudson has been spending time with his family after his father passed away, so he won't be with the team for Week 11. Antony Auclair will serve as the depth tight end behind Rob Gronkowski and Cameron Brate on Monday.

Logs seven snaps in win Hudson did not record any statistics across seven snaps from scrimmage in the Buccaneers' 46-23 win over the Panthers on Sunday.

Impact Hudson has now garnered active status in every game from Week 2 onward, although that's only led to a 2-21 line on a total of six targets. Coach Bruce Arians continues to roll with four active tight ends on most weeks, but both Hudson and position mate Antony Auclair are being used exclusively in a run-blocking capacity with both Rob Gronkowski and Cameron Brate healthy in front of them.

Catch-less night Week 8 Hudson failed to bring in his only target in the Buccaneers' 25-23 win over the Giants on Monday night.

Impact The big tight end logged just three snaps from scrimmage, so his lack of statistics was unsurprising. Hudson is a distant third in the positional pecking order behind Rob Gronkowski and Cameron Brate, and the recent activation of Antony Auclair could also serve to frequently render Hudson a gameday inactive in coming weeks.

One grab in win Hudson brought in his only target for a 12-yard reception in the Buccaneers' 45-20 win over the Raiders on Sunday.

Impact The towering tight end made an impressive grab on his one catch, his second of the season overall. Hudson played on just two snaps from scrimmage overall, however, although that was only 10 fewer than position mate Cameron Brate, the player directly above him on the depth chart. Hudson does have an intriguing size/athleticism combination, so it remains to be seen if he makes a legitimate run at Brate's No. 2 role at some point during the second half of the season.

First catch of season Hudson secured one of four targets for nine yards in the Buccaneers' 20-19 loss to the Bears on Thursday night.

Impact Hudson assumed the No. 3 tight end role with O.J. Howard (Achilles) on injured reserve and Antony Auclair (calf) not yet ready to shed that designation. The second-year tight end saw a solid amount of targets for a player listed as third on the positional depth chart as Chris Godwin (hamstring) and Justin Watson (chest) were both sidelined, opening up extra opportunities for Tampa Bay's remaining healthy pass catchers. It remains to be seen if Hudson will be active on gamedays once Auclair is ready to suit up, as the latter is generally considered a superior blocker and also has similar ability to operate downfield.

Earns promotion from practice squad The Buccaneers promoted Hudson from the practice squad to the active roster Wednesday, Scott Smith of the team's official site reports.

Impact Hudson's spot on the active roster was opened by the Buccaneers waiving Mazzi Wilkins on Monday. The Southern Arkansas product actually played three special-teams snaps during Sunday's win over the Panthers, by merit of the NFL's new practice squad "elevation" rule. He'll now be fully available as a depth option against the Broncos in Week 3.

Impact Hudson spent the entire 2019 season on the Buccaneers' active roster, but he was pushed out of the tight-end room after the addition of Rob Gronkowski. If he clears waivers, the team plans on retaining him on the practice squad.
