To start Sunday Hill (finger) will start Sunday's road game against the Jets, Katherine Terrell of The Athletic reports.
Impact Hill emerged from the Saints' Week 13 loss to the Cowboys with an injured middle finger on his throwing hand. He played through what was termed mallet finger, but his accuracy was lacking to the eventual tune of 19-for-41 passing for 264 yards, two touchdowns and four interceptions. He was his dynamic self on the ground, though, with 11 carries for 101 yards. Hill will welcome Alvin Kamara (knee) back to the lineup after a four-game absence, but the offense will be without Mark Ingram (COVID-19 list), Deonte Harris (suspension), Ty Montgomery (COVID-19 list) and potentially Lil'Jordan Humphrey (hamstring). Fortunately for Hill, he'll get to face the Jets' 32nd-ranked overall defense, which is 29th against the pass (263.4 yards per game).

Impact During last Thursday's loss to the Cowboys, Hill slammed his right middle finger on the arm of a Dallas defender while following through on a throw. While he was able to gut through it and play all 69 offensive snaps, his performance was below par, as he completed 19 of 41 passes for 264 yards, two touchdowns and four interceptions. Fortunately, Hill's mobility salvaged his day on the fantasy front, with his 11 carries going for 101 yards. Coach Sean Payton told Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football on Wednesday that Hill will start Sunday at the Jets, if he's healthy. But Hill will do so with a splint as he manages what has been diagnosed as mallet finger, per Underhill.

No surgery, plans to play Hill (finger) isn't expected to need surgery and will attempt to play through an injury known as mallet finger on his throwing hand, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Impact It's reportedly not as severe as Russell Wilson's mallet finger earlier this year. That doesn't necessarily mean Hill will be successful -- he did throw four INTs in Thursday's loss to Dallas after injuring his hand -- but he'll at least attempt to continue playing, presumably as the starting QB. It is possible he could move back to his non-QB role if that doesn't work out, in which case Trevor Siemian would step back in under center. For fantasy purposes, Hill mostly provides value with his feet, but it's still not ideal to add another limitation to his passing. It does sound like he's tentatively on track for another start at QB in Week 14 at the Jets, benefiting from extra rest after the Saints' TNF loss to Dallas.
