INJURIES

No targets through four games Quitoriano went without a target while playing eight of 65 snaps on offense Sunday in the Falcons' 34-27 win over the Commanders.
Impact Quitoriano has been active as the Falcons' No. 3 tight end through each of the first four games of the season but has seen just as much playing time on special teams as offense. He has yet to draw a target and will continue to function mostly as a blocker when he takes the field with the offense.
OCTOBER 1 • ROTOWIRE
Part of crowded TE group Quitoriano made the Falcons' initial 53-man roster Tuesday.
Impact The Falcons kept four tight ends, with Quitoriano and Feleipe Franks competing for reserve snaps behind Kyle Pitts and Charlie Woerner. Quitoriano caught nine passes for 146 yards during his first two seasons in Houston but wasn't targeted across 96 offensive snaps last year.

Makes play on special teams Quitoriano played 13 special-teams snaps during Friday's 23-20 preseason loss to the Titans.
Impact After not suiting up during the preseason opener, Quitoriano played exclusively on special teams against the Titans. Despite the limited action, Quitoriano made his presence felt, forcing and recovering a fumble during a kickoff in the third quarter. Quitoriano is battling with Felipe Franks for the third, and likely final, tight end spot behind Kyle Pitts and Charlie Woerner.

Signs with Atlanta The Falcons are signing Quitoriano (calf) on Friday after hosting him for a workout, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Impact Quitoriano was limited to seven-regular season appearances with Houston in 2024, before sustaining a calf injury. He didn't record any receptions in that span. Now having proved his healthy via a workout with Atlanta, Quitoriano will spend the offseason competing to secure another reserve gig.
MARCH 28 • ROTOWIRE
Plays seven games in 2024 Quitoriano (calf) appeared in seven regular-season games in 2024 but did not otherwise show up on the box score.
Impact The last two seasons have been plagued by injury for Quitoriano. He ended the 2023 campaign on IR due to a groin injury, and when he returned fully healthy for training camp, he strained his calf during the Texans' Hall of Fame Game against the Bears on Aug. 1. The Texans and Quitoriano came to an injury settlement agreement in early September, but he was brought back to Houston after being signed off Chicago's practice squad in early October. He operated as a depth tight end behind Dalton Schultz and Cade Stover, but Quitoriano suffered a knee injury in late November that ultimately caused him to be sidelined for the rest of the 2024 season. As a restricted free agent, the Texans can place a tender on Quitoriano that would allow Houston to match an offer sheet from another team.
FEBRUARY 16 • ROTOWIRE
Ruled out for Saturday The Texans announced Friday that Quitoriano (calf) has been downgraded to out for Saturday's divisional-round road game against the Chiefs.
Impact Quitoriano was initially labeled as questionable for the AFC Divisional Round, but he won't be activated from IR in time to suit up versus Kansas City. His 21-day practice window is nearing its conclusion, so even if Houston emerges victorious over Kansas City, it's unclear whether Quitoriano will have a chance to return down the stretch during the playoffs.
JANUARY 17 • ROTOWIRE
Questionable for divisional round Quitoriano (calf) is listed as questionable for Saturday's AFC divisional-round clash against Kansas City.
Impact Quitoriano has been on injured reserve since Nov. 28, but he was able to practice all week and has put himself in a position to be activated from IR ahead of Saturday's playoff game. Quitoriano didn't register a target across seven regular-season games, and if he was cleared to play he would serve as a run-blocking tight end behind starter Dalton Schultz.
JANUARY 16 • ROTOWIRE
Begins week with full practice Quitoriano, who is on IR due to a calf injury, was a full practice participant Tuesday.
Impact Quitoriano has been on injured reserve since Nov. 28 due to a knee injury. He was designated to return to practice last Tuesday and practiced in full all week but wasn't activated ahead of Houston's wild-card win over the Chargers last Saturday. There's a clearer path to Quitoriano being activated ahead of this Saturday's divisional-round clash against the Chiefs, however, as fellow tight end Cade Stover landed on IR on Tuesday due to a fractured collarbone.
JANUARY 15 • ROTOWIRE
Downgraded to out Quitoriano (calf) has been downgraded to out for Saturday's AFC wild-card game against the Chargers.
Impact Quitoriano, who missed the final five games of the regular season, was designated for return during the practice week leading up to Saturday's playoff game. With Quitoriano unavailable, Cade Stover and Irv Smith will operate as the backups to starting tight end Dalton Schultz.
JANUARY 11 • ROTOWIRE
Questionable for wild-card game Quitoriano (calf) is listed as questionable for Saturday's AFC wild-card game against the Chargers, DJ Bien-Aime of ESPN.com reports.
Impact Quitoriano missed the Texans' last five games of the regular season due to a calf injury he suffered against the Titans in Week 12. He was designated to return from injured reserve Tuesday and could be activated off IR ahead of Saturday's game after logging a full week of full practices.
JANUARY 9 • ROTOWIRE
Practices in full Tuesday Quitoriano (calf) was a full participant in practice Tuesday.
Impact The tight end, who had his 21-day practice window to return from injured reserve opened earlier in the day, took a big step in the right direction ahead of Saturday's wild-card matchup with the Chargers. Quitoriano was placed on IR in late November with what was originally believed to be a knee injury, though it was listed as a calf issue on Houston's Tuesday injury report. The 2022 fifth-round pick played on 96 offensive snaps in 2024 and did not catch a pass.
JANUARY 8 • ROTOWIRE
Designated for return to practice The Texans announced Tuesday that Quitoriano (knee) has had his 21-day window to return from IR opened.
Impact Quitoriano will have a 21-day window to practice without counting against the active roster, during which time he can be brought off IR if deemed healthy. That makes Saturday's wild-card round playoff game against the Chargers his next chance to retake the field.
JANUARY 7 • ROTOWIRE
Placed on IR due to knee injury The Texans placed Quitoriano (knee) on injured reserve Thursday.
Impact Quitoriano may have picked up the injury during the Texans' Week 12 loss to the Titans this past Sunday. By being placed on injured reserve, Quitoriano will be forced to miss at least the next four regular-season games, making Week 18 against Tennessee on Sunday, Jan. 5 the earliest he could be activated off IR. Dalton Schultz and Cade Stover are the two healthy tight ends on the 53-man roster, so the Texans could elevate Irv Smith from the practice squad for Sunday's game against the Jaguars.
NOVEMBER 28, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Limited on Wednesday Quitoriano (knee) was limited in Wednesday's practice.
Impact Quitoriano dealt with a calf issue earlier this season, so the knee injury is a new one. He's played 22 percent of the offensive snaps across seven games since rejoining the Texans on Oct. 8. Quitoriano has yet to draw a target in the pass game and is mostly used as a blocker.
NOVEMBER 27, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Goes without target in Week 11 Quitoriano played 19 of the Texans' 64 snaps on offense and went without a target in Monday's 34-10 win over the Cowboys.
Impact Since being signed off the Bears' practice squad in October, Quitoriano has been active for each of the Texans' ensuing six games. However, despite logging at least nine snaps on offense in all six of those contests, he's yet to draw a target. He'll continue to operate mainly as a blocker when he takes the field.
NOVEMBER 21, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Untargeted in win Quitoriano was not targeted over nine snaps in Sunday's 41-21 win over New England.
Impact Quitoriano rejoined the Texans, who signed him off the Bears' practice squad last week. He's not expected to see much activity in terms of targets, but the organization likes Quitoriano's blocking technique and considers him an extra tackle.
OCTOBER 14, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Back with Houston The Texans signed Quitoriano off the Bears' practice squad Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Impact Quitoriano was a fifth-round pick by the Texans in 2022 and spent the previous two seasons with the team before being waived/injured and eventually cut just ahead of Week 1 last month. He spent roughly two weeks in Chicago and is now headed back to Houston, where he caught nine passes for 146 yards and two touchdowns on 14 targets across 16 regular-season games with the Texans. Quitoriano will slide in behind Dalton Schultz and Cade Stover on the depth chart after Brevin Jordan (knee, IR) suffered a season-ending torn ACL in Week 2.
OCTOBER 8, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Joins Chicago's practice squad The Bears signed Quitoriano to the practice squad Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Impact Quitoriano suited up for 16 combined regular-season games with Houston over the last two seasons. He'll now compete to secure a reserve role and continue his development in Chicago.
