Impact Higgins entered the team's Week 16 contest having combined to record 206 receiving yards across his last five games and not eclipsing 60 yards in any of those contests. However, he torched the Texans for a couple big plays of 30 and 22 yards. Higgins also found the end zone for the sixth time this season on an impressive, toe-tapping 20-yard catch midway through the third quarter. He and the Bengals will look to turn in another impressive performance to close the season in Week 17 against the Ravens.

The rookie actually paced the Bengals in receptions on the night, but he saw a three-game streak of five catches apiece snapped. Higgins hasn't crossed the 56-yard threshold in the four-plus games he's now played without Joe Burrow (knee), but he'll look to capitalize on a weakened Texans secondary in a Week 16 matchup.

Impact The standout rookie receiver tweaked his hamstring during the late stages of last Sunday's loss to Miami, rendering him a limited practice participant throughout this week. Adam Schefter of ESPN reported Saturday that Higgins would likely be able to go against Dallas, and his outlook during pregame workouts has seemingly confirmed that forecast. The 21-year-old has his name in the mix for Offensive Rookie of the Year, having posted 53 receptions for 729 yards and five touchdowns through 12 appearances.

Impact The extent of Higgins' injury remains to be seen, but it was otherwise encouraging to see him put together a serviceable stat line despite playing with a pair of questionable quarterbacks in Brandon Allen (chest) and Ryan Finley against a tough Miami secondary. Higgins ultimately checked in second in receiving yardage to the ejected Tyler Boyd and in catches to tight end Drew Sample, who saw plenty of short-area looks in the latter's absence. The most explosive aspect of Higgins' game -- his downfield role -- is certainly compromised without Joe Burrow (IR-knee) under center, but his immense talent keeps him in fantasy consideration each week. If healthy, he'll look to exploit a favorable matchup versus the Cowboys in Week 14 while potentially working with Finley as his quarterback.

Impact Higgins led the team in receptions and receiving yards while finishing second in targets. He made a one-yard touchdown grab late in the fourth quarter to keep his team in the game, giving him three scores in his last five games and five for the season. Higgins' ability to produce with Brandon Allen at quarterback is a positive sign for his fantasy outlook, but the duo will face a tough challenge next Sunday against a talented Dolphins defense.

Impact Higgins wasn't on the same page with Joe Burrow in the first half, and things only got worse when Ryan Finley took over under center after Burrow was carted off with a season-ending knee injury. Despite finishing only one target shy of Tyler Boyd's team-leading total, Higgins ranked fifth on the team in yards. With the downgrade from Burrow to Finley moving forward, it's possible that the momentum from Higgins' promising rookie season will grind to a screeching halt against the Giants in Week 12 and beyond. Finley threw for just 30 yards and an interception in almost a half of action, but it's worth seeing whether he's able to bounce back with some starter's reps under his belt before cutting bait with any of Cincinnati's prominent pass-catchers.

Impact Given that Higgins was a Thursday addition to the Bengals' injury report, as well as the fact that an illness caused his absence makes his status worth monitoring as Sunday's game against Washington approaches. A return to a full session Friday would alleviate any concerns regarding Higgins' Week 11 availability, however. The 2020 second-rounder has seen nine targets in each of his last two outings and is coming off a 7-115-1 effort in the Bengals' Week 10 loss to the Steelers.
