He likely wasn't caught up on Tennessee's defensive scheme in time, but his removal from the injury report Wednesday suggests he'll be making his Titans debut in Week 9, when the team hosts the Patriots.

Impact Spears has missed the last two games, but coach Brian Callahan noted Wednesday that the running back "should be good to go" Sunday against the Patriots. While Spears seemingly has a good chance to play this weekend, it's notable that fellow RB Tony Pollard missed Wednesday' session with a foot injury. Look for added context regarding the Titans' Week 9 backfield situation to surface no later than Thursday, when the team returns to practice.

Impact Levis was limited all last week before being listed as questionable and then declared inactive for an eventual 52-14 loss to the Titans. Coach Brian Callahan said Wednesday that he wants to see how Levis' right shoulder feels after throwing on consecutive days, per Turron Davenport of ESPN.com, which makes it sound like the Titans won't have a good idea about the QB's Week 9 availability until later in the week. Mason Rudolph will make his third consecutive start if Levis misses another game this Sunday against the Patriots.

With DeAndre Hopkins now with the Chiefs and Treylon Burks (knee) on IR, Boyd and Ridley are in line to maintain steady roles in Tennessee's offense alongside Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, when healthy. There's no indication of his shoulder injury being serious, but another absence Thursday would create some doubt about Ridley's availability for a home game against the Patriots this Sunday. Out of his 326 receiving yards this season, 36.2 percent came in the first quarter of the blowout loss to Detroit.
