DeAndre Hopkins - Expected to play Thursday night Hopkins (toe) is expected to play Thursday night against the Steelers, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

Impact On a short week, Hopkins got in a pair of limited practices Monday and Tuesday before missing Wednesday's session. He's long been someone who doesn't need to practice much in order to play, and it's fair to wonder if the Titans were simply giving the 31-year-old some extra time to get his body ready for Thursday night. Hopkins is coming off of a three-touchdown Week 8 with rookie Will Levis under center. Hopkins' official status will be determined 90 minutes prior to kickoff Thursday.

Hopkins is coming off of a three-touchdown performance in the Titans' Week 8 win over Atlanta, which came with rookie Will Levis under center. Levis will start again in place of the injured Ryan Tannehill (ankle), and Hopkins should represent the signal-caller's top target in the passing game. Hopkins' availability will be confirmed when Tennessee releases its inactive list 90 minutes prior to Thursday's 8:15 p.m. ET kickoff.

Impact Despite being limited at practice all week, Simmons looks to be a full go for Week 9. He's on pace for the first double-digit sack season of his career, and he figures to see a healthy number of chances to rush the passer Thursday against a Pittsburgh team that has attempted to throw the ball on 60.5 percent of its offensive snaps in 2023.

Josh Whyle - Will suit up at Pittsburgh Whyle (concussion) does not carry an injury designation into Thursday's game at the Steelers.

Impact Whyle was able to clear concussion protocol during the shortened week, and he'll be available in Week 9. Through six games in 2023, he's caught all four of his targets for 44 yards and a touchdown.

Derrick Henry - Good to go Thursday Henry (ankle) doesn't carry an injury designation for Thursday's game against the Steelers.

Impact Henry, who was listed as a limited participant Monday and Tuesday, was deemed a full practice participant Wednesday and has been cleared to face the Steelers. He'll be joined in the backfield by rookie quarterback Will Levis, who will make a second straight start while Ryan Tannehill (ankle) remains sidelined once again. Henry, whom the Titans elected not to move prior to Tuesday's trade deadline, is thus set to pace the team's rushing attack versus Pittsburgh. Though Levis authored a four-touchdown performance in his NFL debut last week against the Falcons, Henry was able to enjoy a productive day of his own despite not finding the end zone. The running back finished with 22 carries for 101 yards and caught all four of his targets for 21 yards.

Will Levis - Locked in for Week 9 start Levis will start Thursday's game against the Steelers with Ryan Tannehill (ankle) having been officially ruled out for the Week 9 contest.

Impact Titans head coach Mike Vrabel had already said Tuesday that Levis was trending toward a second straight start, and with Tannehill having remained a spectator for Wednesday's practice while tending to a right high-ankle sprain, the rookie second-round pick will remain atop the depth chart for at least one more week. In his NFL debut this past Sunday against the Falcons, Levis looked more season than anticipated. In addition to playing turnover-free football and taking just two sacks, Levis completed 19 of his 29 pass attempts for 238 yards and four touchdowns while adding 11 yards on the ground. Though replicating the Week 8 performance will be a tough task, Levis at least gets a somewhat favorable draw in matching up with a Steelers pass defense that has given up 245.4 passing yards per game, good for 24th in the NFL.

Impact Hopkins' inability to practice Wednesday after being listed as a limited participant Monday and Tuesday may leave his fantasy managers feeling uneasy, but without a day off between practice and Thursday's game, it's possible Tennessee was just providing extra rest for the veteran wide receiver. Hopkins has a history of suiting up despite little or no practice participation, and he showed no signs of being bothered by an injury in this past Sunday's three-touchdown performance against the Falcons. All three touchdowns came on the receiving end of passes from rookie quarterback Will Levis, who will make his second straight start Thursday in place of the injured Ryan Tannehill (ankle). The strong-armed Levis will likely continue looking for Hopkins deep downfield if the receiver is given the green light when Tennessee releases its inactive list roughly 90 minutes prior to Thursday's 8:15 p.m. ET kickoff.

Ryan Tannehill - Won't play Thursday Tannehill (ankle) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Steelers, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.

Impact As expected, Tannehill will miss his second straight game after he hasn't been able to practice in any fashion coming out of the Titans' Week 7 bye while he recovers from a right high-ankle sprain. Will Levis will draw another start in place of Tannehill and will be looking to build on his four-touchdown performance in his NFL debut this past Sunday against Atlanta. Tannehill's next chance to return to game action will come Nov. 12 against the Buccaneers, but if Levis submits another strong outing Thursday, it's conceivable that the rookie could settle atop the depth chart on a more permanent basis even if Tannehill is deemed fully healthy for Week 10.
