Impact Owens is the son of Hall of Famer Terrell Owens and was with the team during training camp after going undrafted out of Missouri State. However, a hand injury in training camp cut his time with the franchise short and led to him being waived with an injury settlement in August. Now healthy, he'll work to make the most of his second chance in San Francisco.

Impact The son of NFL legend Terrell Owens was waived with an injury designation by the 49ers on Aug. 7 before reverting to injured reserve Aug. 8. The younger TO signed with his father's former team after going undrafted. Owens played three years at Missouri State and caught 28 balls for 528 yards and four touchdowns in his best season.

Impact Owens was waived with an injury designation Wednesday due to a hand fracture, which Mike Garafolo of NFL Networkreports will require a 5-to-7 week recovery timetable. Unless he can reach an injury settlement with San Francisco, though, Owens will need to spend the entire 2024 season on IR.
