Called up from practice squad The Raiders signed Riddick from the team practice squad Thursday.

Impact Riddick was elevated from Las Vegas' practice squad ahead of a Week 4 matchup against Buffalo, ultimately registering 13 rushing yards on two carries over his seven offensive snaps during the contest. The Notre Dame product had at least 10 appearances in each of his six seasons for the Lions between 2013 and 2018, though he so far has been seldom utilized in his debut campaign with the Raiders. Given that Josh Jacobs (knee/Illness) sat out Thursday's practice, the Raiders opted to elevate Riddick in case RB reinforcements are required Sunday against the Chargers.

Back to practice squad Riddick was reverted back to practice squad Monday, according to the NFL transaction log.

Impact Riddick was called up to the active roster for the team's Week 4 matchup against the Bills. However, he logged only seven snaps and earned two carries, gaining 13 yards. With Jalen Richard (ankle) battling injury, however, Riddick could be back with the team in a Week 5 matchup against the Chiefs.

Called up to 53-man roster Riddick was elevated to the Raiders' active roster Saturday, Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com reports.

Impact It's interesting to see the Raiders call up Riddick considering each of their top three backs is healthy, but the desperate need for WRs could have forced the issue. With three members of the receiving corps either out or listed as doubtful for Sunday, it's possible Riddick could even see snaps in five-wide receiver sets, although it's more likely he'll simply act as a do-it-all depth option.
