Overall, the second-year quarterback completed 17 of 21 passes for 152 yards and an interception in that contest. Lawrence will have two more chances to mix into drills this week as the Jaguars prepare for Saturday's scheduled 8:15 p.m. ET kickoff against the Titans.

Impact Whether it was just an off day for Lawrence or maybe a vanilla game plan in a meaningless contest isn't clear, but the otherwise surging second-year quarterback presumably hoped to produce more with his playing time Sunday. Then again, the Jaguars won 31-3, so any lack of urgency from Lawrence and/or the Jacksonville playcalling would make sense. There will be a higher cost if Lawrence is similarly sluggish against the Titans in Week 18, but with the division on the line the Jaguars will at least use their full bag of tricks, unlike against the Texans.

This week, he followed up a DNP on Wednesday with back-to-back limited sessions before heading into the weekend listed as questionable. While Lawrence is set to continue leading the Jaguars offense Sunday, it won't be confirmed until about 90 minutes before a 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff.

Even if Lawrence is listed as questionable for the Week 17 contest, he shouldn't be at much risk of sitting out, as head coach Doug Pederson told Adam Stites of USA Today that he's not considering resting or holding out key players with minor injuries against the Texans. The Jaguars don't have much at stake for Sunday's contest with regard to playoff positioning, as the team's matchup with the Titans in Week 18 will determine the AFC South champion and represents Jacksonville's best chance for a postseason spot rather than a long-shot bid for a wild-card berth.

Fumbles remain a problem with his 10 being fourth most in the league, though the extent has probably been exaggerated on account of his bad luck in losing eight of them. As for Week 17, coach Doug Pederson said he'll play to win and won't rest starters this Sunday against the Texans, even though the game is essentially irrelevant to the playoff picture and is followed by a winner-take-all bout with the Titans in Week 18 to determine the AFC South champion.
