Impact Lockett spent exactly a week on the COVID-19 list, missing Tuesday's loss to the Rams in the process. Now that he's back with the Seahawks, he'll turn his focus to Sunday's game against the Bears, who have given up the second-most touchdowns (19) to wide receivers this season.

Nearing activation Coach Pete Carroll relayed Wednesday that Lockett (illness) is closing in on being activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.

Impact Lockett found himself on the COVID-19 list last Thursday following a positive test for the virus, and while the Seahawks' Week 15 matchup was pushed back two days to Tuesday due to COVID issues afflicting the Rams, it wasn't enough time for the wide receiver to clear league protocols. Carroll's comment indicates Lockett may have returned his first negative test. If so, Lockett will need to do the same 24 hours from that test in order to return to the active roster.
