Impact Hill returned to practice Monday after having been limited since mid-August due to a hand/thumb injury. It always looked like the Dolphins were simply taking a cautious approach to Hill's recovery, but it's encouraging to see the star wideout remove any ambiguity from the situation ahead of Week 1. Hill is locked in as a top tier fantasy option for Sunday's regular-season opener against the Jaguars, while teammate Jaylen Waddle (undisclosed), who also resumed practicing Monday, also seems on track to suit up without issue.

Practicing Monday Coach Mike McDaniel said Monday that Hill (thumb) and Jaylen Waddle (undisclosed) will both practice and "had no setbacks," Joe Schad of The Palm Beach Post reports.

Impact Hill and Waddle have both had their practice reps capped in recent weeks, but it doesn't seem like the Dolphins have had any real doubts about having the star WR duo available for Week 1. A right thumb injury has lingered for Hill since mid-August, so Miami may have simply been taking a cautious approach to his recovery, with catching ability in mind. At the latest, Wednesday's first official practice report of the season will reveal whether Hill and Waddle still carry injury designations as Sunday's opener against the Jaguars approaches.

Impact The Dolphins seem to simply be taking a cautious approach to Hill's recovery, but there will be cause for worry if he's still being held out next week, when the team's first official injury reports of the regular season are released. Jaylen Waddle (undisclosed) is wearing a non-contact jersey Thursday, but the team has also downplayed his injury severity. In all likelihood, Miami is simply opting to not take any chances with either star wideout, especially given that key depth options Odell Beckham (undisclosed) and River Cracraft (upper body) are starting the year on reserve lists and ruled out for at least four games. Hill and Waddle will look to resume handling full reps before taking on the Jaguars in Week 1 on Sunday, Sept. 8.
