Josh Allen - Cleared to practice, play ThursdayCoach Sean McDermott said Monday that Allen (hand) has been cleared to practice and suit up for Thursday's game against the Dolphins, Ryan O'Halloran of The Buffalo News reports.
ImpactAllen injured his left, non-throwing hand while making a leaping rushing touchdown during Sunday's win over the Cardinals, but the issue won't impact his ability to get on the field Week 2. The star quarterback got off to a slow start Week 1 against Arizona, even losing a fumble on Buffalo's first drive, but he ended the day with two touchdown passes to Mack Hollins and Khalil Shakir, in addition to two rushing scores of his own. Allen will look to remain sharp while adjusting to his new group of skill-position players during Thursday's road divisional matchup.

Trey Benson - Gets four touches in NFL debutBenson rushed three times for 13 yards and secured his only target for five yards during Sunday's 34-28 loss to the Bills.
ImpactBenson worked as the No. 2 runner behind starter James Conner, though Emari Demercado remained involved in the receiving game, as he finished Week 1 without a carry but brought in both of his targets for 26 yards. The rookie third-round pick will look to build his involvement as his familiarity grows, but Conner clearly remains Arizona's featured back heading into a Week 2 matchup against the Rams.

Josh Allen - Not worried about hand injuryAllen (hand) said after Sunday's 34-28 win over the Cardinals that his left hand is "fine," but that he's scheduled to undergo further tests, Kevin Patra of NFL.com reports.
ImpactAllen landed hard on his non-throwing hand during the fourth quarter of Sunday's narrow win over Arizona. Though the star quarterback downplayed his level of concern, the injury should be closely monitored with Buffalo scheduled for only a few days rest prior to taking on the Dolphins on Thursday Night Football in Week 2. The Bills will release an official injury report Monday, and the team could also announce the results of Allen's medical tests soon. Mitchell Trubisky is healthy and ready to step up as the top backup to Allen, should the starting quarterback need to take some reps off during practice.

NFL Heat Index: Sam Darnold hot in Vikings debut; Kirk Cousins cold in Falcons debut

Here's a look at who lit it up in Week 1 of the 2024 NFL season and who can't wait for Week 2 for a chance to redeem themselves.

NFL Heat Index: Sam Darnold hot in Vikings debut; Kirk Cousins cold in Falcons debut
Terrel Bernard - Tackling machine in Week 1 victoryBernard led the Bills with 11 total tackles in Sunday's 34-28 win over the Cardinals.
ImpactBernard posted a whopping 143 tackles last season, his first as a starter, and he's picked right up where he left off. With Matt Milano out for a good chunk of the season with a biceps injury, it would be a surprise if Bernard didn't lead the Bills in tackles, barring injury, and perhaps by a good margin. He's become a leader of this defense in just his third season and could end up being one of the league's better IDPs in 2024 if your format places a heavy weighting on tackles.
