Mekhi Becton - Out Week 12Becton (knee) won't return to practice this week, Ethan B. Greenberg of the Jets' official site reports.
ImpactBecton won't be activated from injured reserve this week, so he has been ruled out for Sunday's contest at Houston. The 2020 first-round pick hasn't played since the Jets' first game of the season after undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery.

Matt Ammendola - Job on noticeAmmendola could be at risk of losing his spot on the roster after head coach Robert Saleh hinted at the possibility of the Jets working out other kickers this week, Andy Vasquez of...
ImpactAmmendola missed field-goal attempts of 55 and 40 yards in Sunday's 24-17 loss to the Dolphins and now has missed four kicks in total over the past five weeks. Given the struggles of the Jets offense to consistently produce touchdowns on a weekly basis, having a reliable option in the kicking game is essential, and Ammendola's 69 percent success rate on field-goal attempts isn't getting the job done. Unfortunately for the 24-year-old rookie, he doesn't have an NFL track record to fall back on, which could make it easier for the Jets to pull the plug on him than if he were a struggling veteran.

Michael Carter - Two-week absence confirmedHead coach Robert Saleh confirmed that Carter will miss "a couple weeks" after he suffered a low-grade ankle sprain in Sunday's 24-17 loss to the Dolphins, Ethan B. Greenberg of th...
ImpactSaleh made the announcement minutes after Adam Schefter of ESPN reported the injury would sideline Carter for 2-to-3 weeks. While the rookie is out of action for the Jets' Week 12 game in Houston and likely an additional contest to follow, expect the team to rely on the tandem of Ty Johnson and Tevin Coleman as its main options out of the backfield.

Zach Wilson - Could be ready to start Week 12Jets head coach Robert Saleh said Wilson (knee) has a chance to return for Sunday's game against the Texans in a starting role, Andy Vasquez of The Bergen Record reports.
ImpactWilson was inactive for a fourth straight game in the Jets' Week 11 loss to the Dolphins, but he turned in a good workout Sunday that has Saleh feeling optimistic about the rookie's chances of suiting up during the upcoming weekend. Saleh noted that a decision on the team's Week 12 starting quarterback won't be announced until Wednesday, but if Wilson continues to check out well when the Jets put him through another workout Tuesday, he should recapture the job. Mike White started the first three games while Wilson was out before handing over the role this past week to Joe Flacco, who completed 24 of 39 attempts for 291 yards and two touchdowns in the 24-17 loss to Miami. If the Jets determine Wilson will need additional time to move past the knee injury, Flacco would likely be in line for a second straight start.
