E.J. Speed - Seven stops in MNFSpeed recorded seven tackles (three solo) during Monday's 24-17 loss to the Steelers.

ImpactSpeed tied cornerback Stephon Gilmore for the Colts' third-most tackles against Pittsburgh. While he only played 18 of his 39 snaps on defense Week 12, the linebacker still notched six defensive stops, including five on just one drive in the second quarter. Speed has now set a new career high for tackles (43) while primarily playing on special teams over 12 games. However, he should continue playing as a primary reserve behind starting linebackers Bobby Okereke and Zaire Franklin against Dallas this coming Sunday.

Kenny Moore II - Logs 10 tackles before early exitMoore (shin) recorded 10 tackles (seven solo) and one pass defended during Monday's 24-17 defeat against the Steelers.

ImpactMoore finished as the Colts' second-leading tackler despite being forced out with a shin injury early in the fourth quarter. The nickel cornerback was not able to return before the end of this contest, so he ultimately played 87 percent of his team's defensive snaps. Moore also logged just his fourth pass defended of the season, and it's unlikely he'll match his career-high total of 13 from each of the past two years. The 27-year-old's status on Wednesday's injury report should provide more clarity on his availability versus the Cowboys this coming Sunday.

Zaire Franklin - Logs 11 tackles in MNFFranklin recorded 11 tackles (five solo) during Monday's 24-17 loss to the Steelers.

ImpactFranklin wound up playing every defensive snap after coming into Monday's contest questionable with an illness. As a result, the linebacker led the Colts in stops while logging his seventh double-digit tackle performance of the season. Over 12 weeks, Franklin now has 121 tackles, one sack and three passes defended, and, barring injury, he should finish the 2022 campaign as one of the league's leading tacklers.

Dallis Flowers - Has 89-yard kickoff returnFlowers had two kickoff returns for 118 yards, including an 89-yard return, in Monday's loss to Pittsburgh.

ImpactFlowers played all 12 of his snaps on special teams. While he had a big return that later led to an Indy touchdown, he split kick return duties with Isaiah Rodgers. That makes him a tough start even in leagues with return yardage.

Mo Alie-Cox - Two receptions in lossAlie-Cox had two receptions for 14 yards on three targets in Monday's loss to Pittsburgh.

ImpactAlie-Cox got the start at tight end and played 22 snaps on offense, but was outplayed by Jelani Woods (39 snaps and eight receptions for 98 yards). It's possible Woods takes over as the primary tight end target after a breakout game, but the Colts have alternated big games between their three tight ends and Kylen Granson was out with an illness. Alie-Cox isn't dependable for production and isn't even getting many red zone looks despite his size (6-5).

ImpactPierce has disappeared in the Indy offense after a promising first half of the season. He has just four receptions and 14 targets in his last four games, including two games with no receptions. With Jelani Woods having a big game (eight catches) and Parris Campbell improving after a terrible first half of the season, Pierce's role in the passing game may continue to suffer even if this is a short-term slump.
