Bowles says it's time Buccaneers decide who they want to be

The first-place Tampa Bay Buccaneers can’t afford to take anything for granted in the weak NFC South

Kevin Givens - Will miss timeGivens suffered an MCL sprain in Sunday's win over the Buccaneers and will be out for a few weeks, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.
ImpactGivens' diagnosis is what the team was hoping for despite it still likely leading to a multi-week absence. How long the 25-year-old could be out of action is still unknown, but it appears he's likely questionable at best on a short week with the 49ers playing the Seahawks on Thursday.

Christian McCaffrey - Limited on practice estimateMcCaffrey (knee) was listed as limited on Monday's practice estimate, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.
ImpactMcCaffrey logged 44 of a possible 63 snaps on offense in Sunday's 35-7 win over the Buccaneers en route to carrying 14 times for 119 yards and a TD while adding two catches (on three targets) for 34 yards and a receiving score. With no reported setbacks in that contest, it seems likely that the running back's listed limitations Monday are maintenance-related rather than indicative of any setbacks with the knee issue he's managed at practice of late.

49ers expect Deebo Samuel back before end of regular season

Star receiver Deebo Samuel is expected to return to the San Francisco 49ers before the end of the regular season after the team got a favorable report on his injury

Brock Purdy - Limited on practice estimatePurdy (oblique/ribs) will be listed as limited on Monday's practice estimate, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.
ImpactPer Matt Barrows of The Athletic, Purdy is considered day-to-day as Thursday night's game against the Seahawks approaches. If, however, the 49ers' quick turnaround from Sunday's win over the Buccaneers doesn't allow Purdy enough healing time to face Seattle, Josh Johnson would be next up for the team's QB reps in Week 15.

Deebo Samuel - Has MCL sprain, ankle sprainCoach Kyle Shanahan said Monday that Samuel has been diagnosed with a left MCL sprain and sprained left ankle, but the 49ers expect him to play again at some point during the regul...
ImpactSamuel was knocked out of Sunday's 35-7 win against the Buccaneers after he was bent backward by two Tampa Bay defenders in the second quarter, a play in which he lost a fumble on a three-yard carry. First, he was listed as questionable to return with a knee injury before being ruled out with an ankle issue. It appears both areas are compromised, which wouldn't have allowed him to practice Monday if the 49ers had held a session, per Matt Barrows of The Athletic. Samuel appears poised to miss Thursday's game at Seattle and likely additional action beyond that point, but Shanahan's comment indicates the wide receiver may see action Week 17 or 18. In the meantime, Brandon Aiyuk will become the focus of San Francisco's receiving corps, with Jauan Jennings, Ray-Ray McCloud and Danny Gray set for bigger roles.
