The starting defensive end back in the building is great news for the Cowboys as they are already without Demarcus Lawrence (foot) for an extended period of time. The 28-year-old recorded one tackle and one fumble recovery during the season opener against the Bucs.

ImpactArmstrong recorded one tackle during Sunday's win over the Chargers, but he appears to have picked up an ankle injury during the contest. The 24-year-old linebacker will have an extra day to get healthy as the Cowboys don't play until Monday this week.

ImpactWatkins registered three tackles during Sunday's win over the Chargers, but he appears to have tweaked his knee during the game. The Cowboys don't play until Monday, so the 27-year-old will have an extra day to rest his knee before Dallas resumes practicing Thursday.

Amari Cooper - Suffers bruised ribCooper sustained a bruised rib during Sunday's 20-17 win over the Chargers, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News reports.

ImpactCooper secured three of five targets for 24 yards before injuring his ribs late in Sunday's contest. Coach Mike McCarthy said "we'll see Wednesday" about an update on Cooper's health, possibly hinting that the wideout will undergo further medical evaluation. Cooper has an extra day to get healthy ahead of the Cowboys' Week 3 matchup against the Eagles on Monday Night Football, but for now his status looks uncertain. With Michael Gallup (calf) already guaranteed to miss Week 3, an absence by Cooper would leave CeeDee Lamb as Dak Prescott's unquestioned top target.
