NFL Week 2: Chiefs comfortable winning ugly; what we learned from every Sunday game
Brandon Powell - Two receptions as No. 3 WRPowell had two receptions for 16 yards on two targets in Sunday's win over the 49ers. He also had one punt return for ten yards.
ImpactPowell worked as the third receiver with Jalen Nailor starting opposite Justin Jefferson with Jordan Addison (ankle) sidelined. Powell could move into the starting lineup if both Addison and Justin Jefferson (quad) are sidelined Week 3 against Houston.

Dallas Turner - Viewed as day-to-dayHead coach Kevin O'Connell told reporters Monday that Turner is day-to-day with a knee injury, Ben Goessling of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
ImpactTurner played 18 defensive snaps and recorded two total tackles before leaving Minnesota's Week 2 win with a knee injury. If Turner is forced to miss time, expect Pat Jones to see more work on the Vikings' defense as a rotational edge rusher.

Johnny Mundt - Two receptions in winMundt had two receptions for 12 yards on three targets in Sunday's win over San Francisco.
ImpactJosh Oliver and Mundt both started the game in a two-TE set, but Mundt got more playing time (38 snaps compared to 29) and had more targets (Oliver had none). Mundt is clearly the receiving tight end option in the offense with T.J. Hockenson out while coming back from a knee injury, but he's not a big factor in the passing game. However, that could change if both Jordan Addison (ankle) and Justin Jefferson (quad) are sidelined Week 3 against Houston.

Trishton Jackson - Gets time on offenseJackson didn't have a carry or target in Sunday's win over San Francisco but played five snaps on offense.
ImpactJackson was inactive for Week 1 but got some playing time on offense in Week 2 with Jordan Addison out with an ankle injury. He could have an expanded role as the fourth receiver Week 3 against Houston if both Addison and Justin Jefferson (quad) are sidelined.

Trent Sherfield Sr. - One reception in winSherfield had one reception for 17 yards on two targets in Sunday's win over San Francisco.
ImpactSherfield played on 16 of the offense's 54 offensive snaps. He moved into the third receiver role behind Jalen Nailor, who had 50 snaps on offense and four targets, with Jordan Addison (ankle) sidelined. Sherfield could see an expanded role Week 3 against Houston if both Addison and Justin Jefferson (quad) are sidelined.

Jordan Addison - Could return to action Week 3Vikings coach Kevin O'Connell said Monday the team is hoping Addison (ankle) will be available Week 3 versus the Texans, Alec Lewis of The Athletic reports.
ImpactO'Connell said the Vikings will need to see what type of work Addison can handle in practice this week, and that the team's priority remains his long-term health, but it looks like there's a chance the second-year wideout could be back in action as early as Sunday. Top wide receiver Justin Jefferson (quad), who was forced out of action Week 2 due to a quadriceps bruise, has also been labeled day-to-day, which bodes well for the health of Minnesota's passing game heading into a tough road matchup against Houston.
