Willie Gay Jr. - Close to returning from IRCoach Andy Reid said Monday that "there's a chance" Gay (toe) could be activated from injured reserve this week, Sam McDowell of The Kansas City Star reports.

ImpactReid said that Gay is starting to feel better, but he wasn't ready to make any definitive statements about his activation. Ben Niemann (head) may be unavailable, so the Chiefs could certainly use the 23-year-old linebacker against the Bills this week. Gay has yet to make his 2021 debut.
