Trey Lance - Picks up sprained kneeLance suffered a left knee sprain during Sunday's 17-10 loss at Arizona, leaving his status for the 49ers' next game Week 7 against the Colts, David Lombardi of The Athletic report...ImpactThe 49ers enter their Week 6 bye with clouds hanging over both of their quarterbacks on the active roster. Jimmy Garoppolo has missed the past game and a half due to a calf contusion, but the team expects him to retake the reins of the offense as soon as he's healthy. Meanwhile, Lance, his replacement under center, has combined to completed 24 of 47 passes for 349 yards, two touchdowns and one interception and record 23 carries for 130 yards over the last two games. Coach Kyle Shanahan told Keiana Martin of the 49ers' official site that Lance's injury "should be a 1-to-2 week thing. But possibly just one." Lance is expected to be evaluated again at the end of this week, but as Shanahan mentioned the 49ers are hopeful he'll be available Week 7. Whether or not Lance is the starting quarterback remains to be seen.
