DeForest Buckner - Close to return to practiceCoach Shane Steichen said Monday that he was "optimistic" about Buckner (ankle) returning to practice ahead of Week 8, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.
ImpactBuckner has been sidelined for the Colts' last five games as he's been nursing an ankle injury he suffered in Week 2 at Green Bay, but it now seems like he could be trending towards coming back soon. Indianapolis' first official practice report of the week Wednesday will provide more insight into his availability for Week 8.

Jonathan Taylor - Hopeful to practice this weekColts head coach Shane Steichen said he's "optimistic" that Taylor (ankle) will resume practicing this week, with a divisional matchup against the Texans on deck Sunday, James Boyd...
ImpactTaylor hasn't practiced in any capacity since suffering a right high-ankle sprain that's forced him to sit out Indianapolis' last three games, so it would represent significant progress to see him handling even limited reps when the team gets back on the practice field Wednesday. Trey Sermon has averaged just 2.9 YPC with Taylor sidelined the last three weeks, though Tyler Goodson has managed more competent production and scored his first career touchdown Week 7 against Miami. The extent of Taylor's practice activity will need to be closely monitored, but his return would provide the Colts a much-needed boost against Houston if he's able to play.

Tyler Huntley - Recovery timeline still unknownThe Dolphins still aren't sure how severe the shoulder injury Huntley suffered in Sunday's loss to the Colts is, Travis Wingfield of the Dolphins' official site reports.
ImpactHuntley was unable to compete after suffering the injury and finished the contest with 87 yards through the air and a touchdown while completing seven of 13 passing attempts and adding 20 yards on the ground. According to head coach Mike McDaniel, it's too early to determine the severity of the injury and have a timeline for the Utah product's recovery. With Tua Tagovailoa (concussion) expected to return to practice Wednesday and play Week 8 against the Cardinals, Huntley's injury isn't expected to impact who starts at quarterback for the Dolphins moving forward. However, it'll certainly play a factor in who is operating as Tagovailoa's backup, with Tim Boyle and Skylar Thompson (ribs) also in the mix.

Tua Tagovailoa - Practice window will open WednesdayDolphins head coach Mike McDaniel said Monday that Tagovailoa (concussion) will practice Wednesday in preparation to potentially play Week 8 versus the Cardinals, Cameron Wolfe of...
ImpactTagovailoa will need to both come off IR and fully clear the NFL's concussion protocol in order to be eligible to play Sunday versus Arizona, but it sounds like barring any unexpected setbacks at practice, the franchise quarterback is trending toward a Week 8 return. He was placed on injured reserve Sept. 12 after suffering a fourth documented concussion in five years, and missed his fourth and final requisite game while sitting out Sunday's loss to Indianapolis, a contest in which interim starter Tyler Huntley (shoulder) was forced out due to injury. The Dolphins' offense has ranked last in points per game since Tagovailoa's injury, with Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle having combined for just two catches and 19 yards on four targets in Week 7. His return to the lineup should spark some much-needed life into the fantasy prospects of Miami's skill-position players.
