Racks up 145 rushing yards Monday White churned out 145 yards on 22 carries but didn't haul in his only target during Monday's 20-14 win at Kansas City.
Impact White earned a second start in a row for the absent Josh Jacobs (quadriceps/illness), one-upping his performance (20 touches for 85 yards from scrimmage and a rushing TD) from a Week 15 demolition of the Chargers. With a lacking passing game that produced just 48 net yards in Week 16, White in essence was the Raiders offense, while fellow running back Ameer Abdullah mustered 12 total yards on three touches. Jacobs made some progress in his recovery by logging a limited practice last Friday, so his activity level will be watched as week goes on to see if he has a chance to return Sunday at Indianapolis. As long as Jacobs is sidelined, though, White is poised to pace the team's backfield.

Solid as starting back White rushed 17 times for 69 yards and a touchdown and brought in three of four targets for 16 yards in the Raiders' 63-21 win over the Chargers on Thursday night.
Impact With Josh Jacobs (quadriceps) sidelined, White took on the lead back role and put together a solid all-around night in the Raiders' offensive breakout. White got the avalanche of points started with a one-yard touchdown run to cap off Las Vegas' opening possession, his first career score. The 2022 fourth-round pick was the clear leader of the ground attack, outpacing veterans Ameer Abdullah and Brandon Bolden by 13 and 15 carries, respectively. Jacobs will have plenty of time to get healthy before a Week 16 road matchup against the Chiefs on Christmas Day, but if he remains sidelined, White will likely helm the running game again.

Impact Jacobs has played in all of the Raiders' 13 games to date and has been a three-down workhorse, clearing 70 percent of the offensive snaps in each of the first 12 contests until the quad issue forced him out late in this past Sunday's 3-0 win over the Vikings. After Jacobs was unable to move past the injury on a short week, the Raiders will now turn the backfield over to White and Ameer Abdullah, with Brandon Bolden lingering as a third option but more likely to see nearly all of his work on special teams. The 5-foot-9, 203-pound Abdullah is likely to have a role as the Raiders' top change-of-pace/passing-down option Thursday, but the more sturdily built White (six-foot, 215 pounds) is the favorite to lead the Raiders in carries and should see most of the snaps in goal-line/short-yardage situations. The 24-year-old doesn't have much of an NFL track record to fall back on -- he's averaged 3.4 yards and has yet to score a touchdown on 37 career carries -- but with Jacobs out of the mix, White could see enough volume to bring utility in fantasy lineups.

Impact White made a catch on three consecutive plays during the Raiders' final drive of the contest to help set up a nine-yard touchdown pass from Aidan O'Connell to Jakobi Meyers in garbage time. Game flow allowed White to record a season-high 14 offensive snaps as well, but Josh Jacobs figures to again see a majority of the backfield touches against the Lions in Week 8.
