Starting against Dallas Georgiev will tend twine in Friday's road preseason game versus the Stars, Evan Rawal of the Denver Gazette reports.

Impact Georgiev will make his first start of the preseason and play half of the contest, while fellow netminder Kevin Mandolese will finish the game. Georgiev could be pushed by No. 2 goaltender Justus Annunen for more starts this season -- the former has appeared in 125 regular-season games over the last two seasons with Colorado. Georgiev went 38-18-5 with an .897 save percentage and a 3.02 GAA in 63 regular-season appearances during the 2023-24 campaign.

The 28-year-old goalie is 6-4 over 10 playoff contests, but he's given up 31 goals, including at least three goals in four of the five games so far in the second round.
