Impact Dostal allowed a goal in each period, and the Ducks weren't quite able to keep pace. This was his fifth straight loss, the last four of which have been in regulation. The 24-year-old netminder is now at a 4-6-2 record with a 2.75 GAA and a .922 save percentage through 12 starts. Dostal's skid puts him at risk of dropping into a timeshare with John Gibson for playing time in goal. The Ducks' next game is at home Friday versus the Red Wings.

The 27-year-old Harkins has been on a tear in the minors this year with 17 points in 11 games and offers 200 games of NHL experience for the Ducks' bottom-six if called upon to suit up Wednesday.

Impact Fowler has already missed the last two games, and his placement on IR makes a return against Vegas on Wednesday very unlikely. He has registered two assists, 10 shots on net and 20 blocked shots in 12 appearances this season. Urho Vaakanainen will probably continue to see playing time during Fowler's absence.

Fabbri has two goals, 13 shots on net, 12 blocked shots and 31 hits through 14 outings this season. If Mason McTavish (upper body) isn't ready to play Wednesday against Vegas, the Ducks could bring up a forward from AHL San Diego.

Impact Reimer was always going to be the odd man out in Anaheim once John Gibson returned from his appendectomy. With the Avs losing Kaapo Kahkonen on waivers to Winnipeg on Tuesday, it's possible Colorado will be in the market for a veteran like Reimer. If he does clear waivers, Reimer figures to join up with AHL Colorado, potentially playing in the minors for the first time since 2010-11 when he was with the Toronto Marlies.

Impact Gudas has a helper in back-to-back games after going 12 contests without a point to begin the season. He saw a season-high 22:18 of ice time Sunday as Cam Fowler (upper body) remained out of the lineup. Gudas has two assists, 11 shots on net, 10 PIM, 46 hits and 41 blocked shots as a physical force on the Ducks' blue line.

Impact Vatrano snapped a four-game slump with his helper on an Isac Lundestrom empty-netter. As expected, Vatrano has endured significant regression to begin 2024-25, though the Ducks as a team are not generating much offense. The winger is at five points, 40 shots on net, 27 hits, 12 blocked shots, 10 PIM and a minus-2 rating over 13 appearances. Despite being well behind his 60-point pace from last season, Vatrano should continue to see steady middle-six minutes.
